Crayola Spinaroo

Crayola Spinaroo

Crayola SpinarooChildren need to express themselves artistically. It is an expression of themselves that needs to have an outlet. Even kids that don’t normally show their artistic side will be enthralled with this neat toy. The colours are engaging and the variety of designs gives hours of fun. It comes with its own markers and the Crayola Spinaroo is acceptable for children as young as three years. The amount of paper it comes with is a little short, but can be replaced with regular paper. It requires batteries that make it spin, which is a novelty to kids in itself. Children of all ages will love to use the Spinaroo to make unique doodles, each one turning out different from the last.

The size of the toy is 31.5 x 4 x 26.5 cm. Compact and just right for a piece of fridge art. You are likely to have your kid’s art all over the place. They will proudly be showing it to all their friends. If you have more than one child, you may consider buying two. They will have fun comparing the beauty of their drawings. It is an easy way for kids to work with colours and improve their coordination, while having plenty of fun. This will make a great gift, but teachers would benefit from having this in their classroom as well. Teaching children to control their hands and mix colours and designs will bring out the best of their imagination and artful touch. I personally was impressed with the beauty and the abstract look. It is very impressive that even the young can handle the pens and have art worth showing off.

Pictureka Game by Hasbro

Pictureka Game by Hasbro

PicturekaThe Pictureka! game by Hasbro is a fast paced visual scavenger hunt where you want to be first! Flying things, cows, stinky things and more are found on the playing board. Nine reversible tiles are randomly arranged in a three by three square. With hundreds of possible layouts the game is new every time you play.

Three decks of cards guide the game and a timer keeps it moving. The first player roles the die and the hunt is on. Which deck will they draw from? With a green card, role the number die to determine how many to find, flip the 30 second timer and quickly find the objects. If the player succeeds, they get to keep the card (six cards needed to win).

With a blue card it’s a free for all frenzy. As soon as it’s flipped over the first person that finds the picture from the card on the board, and shouts “Pictureka!”, wins the card. The red card adds an element of suspense and daring. Before revealing the picture the player must announce how many of the item they will find.

In a fun twist that mixes it up even more, the back of a card may require the player to flip or move board tiles before they can reveal the picture on the front. The Pictureka! game by Hasbro requires minimal reading so all ages can play. Lovely for 2 or more players and great for a family get together. Get ready to laugh, get ready to hunt, and get ready to shout “Pictureka!”

Product Dimensions: 4.8 x 26.7 x 26.7 cm (1.9 x 10.5 x 10.5 inches ); 1 kg (2.2 pounds), No batteries required.
